I AM HALF WAY THRU HIS DARK MATERIALS AND AFTER SEEING THE TRAILER I AM EVEN MORE IMPRESSED. THE GRAPHICS, THE CHARACTERS, THOSE TWO THINGS WITH THE EXCELLLENT STORY LINE WILL MAKE THIS ONE OF THE BEST SERIES OF ALL TIME.

I’m almost finished with the trilogy myself, and I am a little nervous. This whole trilogy takes place very quickly, maybe a couple months… and they are not even going to START the next one unless this is a success… A bad move I think, the girl playing Lyra could grow up before its over and they would, what, switch actresses, or, change the whole story?? The first one is a real cliffhanger, I hope people will wait around long enough to get it all out there…I would, but I already know the story, soem people DON’T read…but it is a GREAT story, I hope they do it justice.

I’ve read this series about 10 times, to date, and will probably read it again. It’s a truly amazing story, but when I heard that a movie was coming out, I couldn’t help but be a little nervous. After all, a lot of great books have failed to translate from page to screen very well.

However, after seeing the new trailer and browsing the site, I’m really excited to see this movie. I think it was cast well, and the graphics look amazing.

Now I can’t wait. You can bet I’ll be first in line for tickets.

I’ve lost count of how many times I read Pullman’s Dark Materials. It’s a story I keep close to my heart, and will forever cherish, even on into my coming adulthood. I guess it’s like by grasping the series, I hold on to my childhood, so that I will always have a little piece of me old self to carry on when I am older.

I’m really excited to see this movie because it’s like dreams becoming a reality. The cast is magnificent, and the special effects, animation are all flawless from the little I’ve seen. I can’t wait for december, and the visual adventure that will hit the big screen.

I have read the trilogy before I`ve heard about movie. I was affected by idea, characters and overall geography of events. I think that second and third books are different. First was exellent. I have great expectation about the movie but I am not sure that you should compare this with Tolkien`s saga. So, we are waiting…
