Today (May 20) a batch of select scenes from The Golden Compass were shown at the Cannes Film Festival to media, cineastes and distributors, introduced by director Chris Weitz.

This ‘Golden‘ event is one of four scheduled Cannes previews.

On May 22 New Line Cinema will host it’s 40th Anniversary and ‘Golden Compass Party held at the Villa Rothschild.
